Need Your Car
Fixed Right?
Honest diagnoses. Quality repairs. No surprises on the bill. Hillsdale Tool has been keeping Vassar on the road for years — come see the difference a shop that cares makes.
Auto repair,
done right.
From routine maintenance to complex repairs, we handle it all with the same care we'd give our own vehicles.
Engine Diagnostics
Modern computers make pinpointing issues fast and accurate. We read codes, trace symptoms, and tell you exactly what's wrong — not what sounds expensive.
Brake Service
Spongy pedal? Grinding noise? We inspect, repair, and replace brake components with quality parts. Your safety isn't something we cut corners on.
Oil & Maintenance
Preventive care that keeps your car running longer. Oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements — the kind of service that prevents bigger problems.
Transmission
Slipping gears? Delayed shifts? We diagnose transmission issues early and offer repair options that fit your situation and your budget.
Electrical Systems
Dead battery? Flickering lights? Alternator trouble? We track down electrical gremlins that other shops miss — and fix them for good.
Suspension & Steering
Rough ride? Pulling to one side? We inspect and repair shocks, struts, tie rods, and alignment to get you driving smoothly again.
A shop that treats
your car like theirs.
Hillsdale Tool is a local auto repair shop on East Huron Avenue in Vassar. We're not a chain, we're not a franchise — we're your neighbors, and we take pride in doing honest work.
When you bring your vehicle to us, you get a straightforward diagnosis, clear explanations, and repair options that respect your budget. No pressure, no upselling, no jargon designed to confuse.
We believe a good mechanic doesn't just fix cars — they build trust. That's the standard we hold ourselves to every single day.
The difference is
in the details.
Transparent Pricing
We explain the work before we start and stick to the estimate. You'll never see a surprise charge on your bill.
On-Time, Every Time
We respect your schedule. When we give you a timeline, we mean it — because your day matters as much as your car.
Community Trusted
We've earned the trust of Vassar drivers through consistent, reliable work. Word of mouth is our best advertisement.
Quality Parts
We use quality parts for every repair — because cheap fixes don't last, and neither do we cut corners.
